There seems to be a consensus amongst the naive that corporate jets are an extravagance of bad taste. In fact, the GM CEO may have to give up his jet in the name of politics rather than keep the jet in the interest of his company. My recent transcontinental flights failed to arrive on schedule for 6 of 8 flights. A CEO can not risk the vagaries inherent to the commercial carriers. Further, these executives do not have time to play peekaboo with the 2-year old in the next seat. I ask congress to please not operate with the sanctimonious, rude, and naive manner that was evident in the bridge loan hearings. Ask a taxpayer the last thing I want is for the automaker CEOs to be hamstrung by a politically motivated group of idiots who take a two week vacation while their nation is on the brink.
