How crazy are these folks on Capitol Hill!! There must be a lot of silver spoons walking about. Is the government going to provide the service??? Is the goverment planing to commission Pep Boys to do warranty service??. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy a car from a company that is beholden to Capitol Hill. The greatest irony is that in order to receive the bridge loans Capitol Hill is insisting on conditions that assure failure.
The best thing for the taxpayers is that they escape having to support 4 million neighbors living in appliance boxes. Four million desperate folks in a desperate economy will place a huge burden on those taxpayers fortunate to have job.
Capitol Hill is hiding behind the taxpayers. GM is not on trial. Capitol Hill is on trial. History will judge.
