He not only blames "reckless" executives on Wall Street for the economy, but now he is blaming the shareholders. I must call my 94 year old mother to see if she can explain this to me.
He is a reckless, self-defeating, loose cannon. Heaven forbid that a college student should have to supplement their rent through employment in the food industry.
Then. He believes that we have enough people who use mathematics to manipulate numbers. What we need are engineers! Scientists! He just confused every kid who aspired to be a mathematician; every kid who thought engineering was based on mathematics.
He concedes that the banks can turn 1 dollar into 8 dollars but calls the banks reckless for leveraging up. He pleads for the help of Wall Street but continues to bash the images of the very companies he courts. He worries about assuring local talent while he invites poaching by foreign banks. Meanwhile, our financial institutions must sponsor golf tournaments to restore their image. The TARP money is being used to finance the next election. That is "outrageous."
