Why do hedge fund managers not want to report to the SEC?

In a nutshell; read the Markopolis testimony. We better build a few more jail cells to accommodate inside traders before we insist that the hedge funds divulge their activities to the SEC. The SEC needs a corruption bail out...., er, let me reword that. The SEC needs a bridge load to the shores of integrity and trust.
